Crisis Consequences

Tickets to Consequences Live, the culmination of a musical experiment by homelessness charity Crisis, are to go on sale on 28th November ‘07.

The all-day gig, at Camden’s Roundhouse on 2nd March ‘08, will see members of the Consequences ‘superband’, collaborating live for the first and only time. Consequences Live forms part of a gig/track combo with a twist, based around the game ‘consequences’. The superband, fronted by Beth Ditto and Paul Weller, was formed especially to record the track, during November ‘07.
Working with producer du jour Paul Epworth, each musician added their bit to the Consequences track without hearing what had already been recorded. The results of this Wall of Sound-style experiment will be revealed when the track is released in the New Year. The superband was helped put together by Pearl Lowe, Crisis’ ambassador, following the success of the Pudstock benefit gig in January 2007.

Consequences Live will see members of the superband – including Graham Coxon, New Young Pony Club, Babyshambles’ Drew McConnell, The Smiths’ Andy Rourke and the Noisettes - perform a live and exclusive rendition of the track, alongside their own material. These musicians, along with many more, will be performing at the daylong celebration of the best of indie rock, which kicks off at 1pm. All profits from tickets will go to Crisis. The money raised will go towards supporting Crisis' work with homeless people, including music and arts projects which enable our members to acquire new skills, gain qualifications, and find employment. These, consequently, empower people to transform their lives.

Crisis believes that supportive learning and skills projects are essential to help homeless people take control of their lives and find routes out of homelessness.

Consequences is sponsored by Drinkaware. Drinkaware is proud to support Crisis the UK’s most innovative homeless charity who are dedicated to support the UK’s most disadvantaged single homeless people through the Consequences record and concert. Drinkaware is the UK’s leading consumer facing charity whose objectives are to positively change the national drinking culture in order to reduce alcohol misuse and minimise alcohol related harm.Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people.

The Charity campaigns and delivers innovative services year-round to help people find a route out of their homelessness and rebuild their lives. Crisis estimates that there are 400,000 hidden homeless in Britain. The majority are single people who are not eligible for social housing and as a result live in hostels, bed and breakfasts or sleep on the floor of family and friends.

Gibson SG '62 with P-90 Pickups*

It's quite similar to the Pete Townshend model. But as you see, there are three holes on the body, that means he took off the tailpiece and tremolo arm from the original. like Pete Townshend used to do it.
He played SG on the "Freakin' Out" and "I Can't Look At Your Skin" promotion videos. and "Freakin' Out" "I Don't Wanna Go Out" "I Can't Look At Your Skin" etc.. for gigs.

I wish the music would play by itself, Shredded fingers... no ideas
I wish this rainy day could be the last, Could the world end?... what a God send
I wish I could stop wishing you were here, But I don't want to... cus I'd still want you
I wish I didn't feel so flippin mad, Don't wanna scare you... just wanna love you
I wish
my life could last a thousand years, Then I'd be clever... and build a heaven
I wish I could bring Nick Drake back to life, He'd understand... hold my hand
I wish a constant stream of happy shit, Live forever... in world of leather
I wish the rain would just leave me alone, I can't wear that... stupid rain hat
I wish I was in CaliforniaPernod perfume.. in the Danube
I wish the thing of love meant just one thingCinderella... Salmonella
